It is very hard to play against blue because it's so hard to look at.  This
wasn't an issue before, because I could make sure I never played against blue
by picking my own colour to be anything but green against the robot, and by
choosing not to play against anyone who was playing blue.  Now that the robot
picks randomly, I have to play blue sometimes if I want to play the robot.  
Colourblind mode does not fix this, because it is just as visually obnoxious 
to someone who is not colourblind.

Ergo, I request that the RGB values for the blue player be changed.  The 
problem is that the intensity of the blue is so very close to black.  
Intensity is mostly what the human eye can see (we have 120 million rods to 
6 million cones, and the rods are much more sensitive -- they react to a 
single photon!).  See Edward Tufte's _The Visual Display of Quantitative
Information_ and Colin Ware's _Information Visualisation: Perception for 
Design_ for more details.  

The YIQ standard has a very good calculation of what we perceive as 
intensity from colour.  It is used for colour telelvision in most places
outside North America:

0.3*r + 0.59*g + 0.11*b

As you can see, true blue, or anything close to it, contributes very little 
to the intensity, and is therefore not very distinguishable from black by 
the human eye.  A much better blue would have elements of green and red 
in balance.  This doesn't mean that it would look greenish or reddish 
(that's the 'in balance' part) just that its intensity would be better 
against black.  For example a blue that was (R, G, B) of (128, 128, 255) is 
very easy to see against a black background.
Official Comment:
the standard Blue has been changed, not as much as you suggested,
and the overall graphics is redesigned, so the specific complaints
about blue ought to be reevaluated from scratch.
